Data Based was founded in 1989 by Yona Mead. She developed her approach via graduate training and over 20 years of experience in market research, evaluation, direct marketing, analysis and strategic planning

In 1999, Yona joined the newly formed consulting staff of OgilvyOne as Associate Director of Customer Knowledge where she focused on the Rx and packaged- goods accounts
Earlier Work
Previously, she held the position of General Manager, Micro-Market Strategies for Earle Palmer Brown Earlier in her career, she worked at American Red Cross National Headquarters in strategic planning, market research and evaluation. She began her professional work in health care working as a clinician, administrator and consultant
Lecturing, Teaching & Staff Development
Yona has lectured and taught graduate students at George Washington University and John Hopkins University. She also has provided training to staff at the FBI, National Weather Service, Health Care Financing Administration, WESTAT and American Red Cross
Background
She began her career as a healthcare clinician, consultant and administrator after completing her BA from City University of New York and a Masters from Boston University. Yona was a Ph.D. candidate at George Washington University where she studied Health Services Administration and Information Systems Management
